Hi everyone,

For those of you who are like me and check on the case status many times during the day and see no progress, I just wanted to let you know that it is possible to receive NOA 2 with no touches, no email notification and no case update so hang in there. Good luck to everyone and thanks for all your help thus far!

Congrats!

I did not even know this was possible. I thought for sure they'd at least update the site if not send email notification. Kinda makes my obsessive compulsive checking silly, lol.

We had a friend lawyer who briefly checked to make sure we had all the right stuff. But we prepared the file and nothing was added nor changed after seeing our laywer friend. Hope that helps.

Yahoo, you finally got the approval notice. The same thing happened to me last year. My petition was approved on October 17th, I received it about 3 days later but the web site was never updated. Finally they updated my case to say it was approved on November 8th. My fiancee had already scheduled her embassy interview for November 9th and she arrived here on the 17th.

So, get your butt in gear and get the remaining items together. Push as fast as you can because the NVC usually doesn't take too long. I know it has slowed done recently but I expect them to pick up. Check the embassy information for a better estimate of your time frame.

Good luck. Maybe you will be celebrating the holidays with your beloved.

I'd be totally floored. I think I would have every person I know read it to make sure I wasn't reading it wrong.
