Hello,

I had my interview for AOS with my husband on Dec28 after filling the I-485 and biometrics. Right after the interview the agent approved my GC. It's been already almost 4 months and I have not received anything.

I went today to USCIS with an INFO pass and they just said "come back if within 30 days you don't receive your GC"!!!

Is it normal? I have heard people receiving the GC in 2-3 weeks after the interview.

What should I do?

This is def. not normal. Did they let you put in a service request?

Also, did they give you a green card stamp on your passport at your infopass meeting? If not, go and get it

Nov. 5: Sent AOS Package

Nov 17: AOS received by USCIS

April 1: INTERVIEW DAY. Approved!!!!!!

Early June: Moved to New York City. The only relevant city in the world ;)

Hello everybody! My husband and I had the green card interview yesterday and it was really short. IO just asked for identification documents (i.e. birth certificates, citizenship proof, my passport) and nothing else. She did not ask for any supporting documents, no pictures, no bank statements, nothing but identification documents, and she just questioned me( I am beneficiary), quick questions like my name, date of birth, current address, employment status, no questions about marriage, about how we met, she did not ask my husband any questions. Interview lasted less than 10 minutes, she took the I-94 of my passport and she just said "we'll get back to you", we asked when, she said the decision needs to be made within 160 days, thats the law, but we can hear from them any day. She practically said nothing. Such a short interview, no questions about our marriage, no supporting documents ( we brought the whole bag for nothing). I asked her if I could travel while the AOS is pending, she said I could travel on my AP as long as there's no negative decision made on our case and as long as our case is pending. We left so disappointed, I am now very upset cause I dont know what to think, is that short interview with no questions good or bad thing, she took my I94- is that good or bad, do I dare to travel, I have to go home to complete my master. Anybody had similar experience, please reply! Thank you!
