So it says as proof I can get Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties having personal knowledge of the bonafide of the marital relationship.

I heard that you have to get these affidavits only through the embassy.. but my question is...

Is it true??..or can I get them through a different place?.. Either way... how is this done and how much does it cost?.....

Thanx in advance :D

An affidavit is a letter written by someone about someone.

It is not a form.

These affidavits are not just people who witnessed a ceremony. These would be people that have knowledge of your life as a married couple. People who interact with you.

You may want to ask in the MENA regional forum to learn what type of weight the embassy puts on affidavits of this type. In some places they carry little weight because no one is going to submit something that isn't very positive. In other cases showing strong family approval is persuasive.

Getting country specific feedback would be the best guidance for you.

Affidavits will do for now as you will provide more evidence during the interview
