Hi Y'all,

Wow, being on these forums brings back memories of when we were filing the K1 around three years ago - I can't believe how the time has passed! We are getting ready to file our I-751. We are still married, very happy, and have lots of evidence of our marriage/relationship. I am pretty sure I know what I am doing, but wanted to get some validation from others before proceeding, so I have a few questions:

1 - We need to pay another biometrics fee, right? So they total payment is $590?

2 - We were going to go ahead and get two affidavits from friends/family because when I was reading the USCIS instructions, it looked like it was required, but the instructions on the Visa Journey Guide say that you only need them if you don;t have much evidence of your relationship. What are the rest of you planning to do/have already done?

Well, I think that's it for now, actually. Thanks in advance, and good luck to everyone!!

1. Yes.

2. Not required. If the only evidence you have is affidavits you will be denied. If you have other evidence, you don't need them. I sent exactly -0- affidavits and -0- photos. ALL evidence I submitted was of a financial/insurance/property/medical/official document nature.

we were approved without an interview.

^Agree. We did not send any affidavits; our evidence consisted of financial/insurance/etc as noted above. We did send a few photos spanning the two years but nothing excessive.

Good luck!

We didn't send the affidavits because they are not required and we felt confident that we had enough evidence. We sent in a big pile of paperwork. Still, we got an RFE in March. So this time around, we did send two affidavits along with an even bigger pile of paperwork. We haven't heard the outcome yet, but are hoping for some positive news soon...
