Hello everyone. I just want to know when you petition your parents and your sister, did you file it separately? for example: 1 form each individual or together in one form. I was looking on the sample form but I can't see anything in here. Can anybody help me?

And is it true that you cannot file in a same time if your petitioning your parents and sister?

I have only one sister and i dont want her to be left behind

I hope somebody can help me. Thank you so much!

First you have to be a US Citizen

Then you file for your sister.

About a year before she has a visa number available for her to come, you file for your parents, one form each.

Then they can all come together.

Thank you so much for your reply.

So I need to file first my sister after I file her I need to wait for a year then I can file my parents. Is thar faster than filing in the same time?

Your time line says you are not a US Citizen, so that has to come first.

You can then file for them all at the same time, but you said you wanted them to come together. The Parents takes a year ish, but with the Sister it is decades, hence filing a year before the sister is able to immigrate.

How old are your sisters? If more than 21 then file for your sisters with you as petitioner but if they are under 21, you should petition your parents first and when your parents are here, they will be the one to petition for your underage sisters. In this way, the waiting period is shorter. Again, it depends on your circumstances. If you see my timeline, I had to petition my mother first and when she's here, she will petition my underage sisters. But for my over 21 years old sisters, I have to file my petition for them because my mother is old and the wait time is so long.

And yes, you have to be a U.S. Citizen first.

So.. i'm not going to tell u the requirement since u posted in the correct section it seems u are a US Citizen.

IF I were you i would petition for my parents now and then have them petition for my sister. Which would be the shortest route .. regardless of the choice you take. end of solution.

If you're a US Citizen, file for your parents and siblings at the same time if you have the $$$$. Parents of a US Citizen has a processing time of 6 months - 1 year. Siblings (for Philippines) takes 20-25 years, doesn't matter if they're under or over age 21 and if they're single or they get married.

BUT when your parents gets here they can also petition your siblings (As Permanent Resident). THIS ONE GETS REALLY TRICKY. If they're under the age of 21 then it can take 5 years I THINK but if they age out then that's a whole different calculations right there. If they're over 21 years of age that takes 15 years processing time AND THEY HAVE TO BE SINGLE. So, if they get pregnant or they get someone pregnant they can't get married or your parents petition to them will be VOID. Then again if they really want to get married, they can still count on the petition you submitted for them.

Every thing you said is true.. except that the applicant CAN have a child in the F2A/F2B Category... nothing changes except that in that case the child WILL benefit from derivative status and processing stays the same. Over all the best option would be for the parent to come here and petition for the child.. the longest route would be 15 years when compared at the 20+ years the other category takes.
