It's been already 15 days since my I-130 was approved, i received NOA2 via reg. mail on Sept. 2nd saying case was approved on Aug. 22 and also said original petition has been sent to NVC for processing. Does anybody knows how long it takes the file to arrive at NVC??, i've been calling for the past week and they have no records as of yet, in the other hand my Mom in Venezuela is waiting to hear from the local US embassy so she can start gathering all the required docs but don't know how long it will take for the NVC to forward docs there, it says on the letter "NVC will contact the person for whom you are petitioning concerning further immigrant visa processing steps". Any advice will be greatly appreciated!!

Your file could be at the NVC now. Why don't you email NVC? The address is: NVCINQUIRY@state.gov

Put your USCIS receipt number on the email subject line. NVC can notify you whether they have the your case or not.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

You are welcome. NVC will let you know, if they have your case. They can have the case and on the process of entering the information on their computer system. They can also let you know, if a case number is assigned or not.
