biometrics letter mispelled my name..

So I finally got my biometrics letter today and they mispelled my middle name!

they typed Azelius instead of Afzelius...

should I do anything or just show up, does it matter?

my noa1 for my ead, ap and 485 is spelled correctly.

If your NOA1 is right then they have it right and it must have been a minor clerical error. I wouldn't worry about it, but maybe mention it at the appt.

Actually I take it back.. My NOA1s only say Stephanie A. Kramer so I don't know if they have it right or not.. Is there anything I can do at this point to check??

Hello, You can always call the number they have posted on the NOA1 form, to notify them of the misspelled name and then when you go for your Biometrics appointment you can make sure they spell your name correctly and ask them to make a note of the correct way to spell your name.

If it were me.. I'm the paranoid type..hehe.. I would make a info pass appointment, to make sure it's done and taken care of in person. Better safe then sorry. It would suck to have to get your Green Card with the wrong name on it. Make sure the Biometrics people type in your name correctly again too.

Thanks, I will try and do the walk-in for biometrics and try to clear this up, and I will also ask my husband to call the military hotline to check.. It's certainly not too late at this point I'm sure.

We're in a similar situation. My wife's NOA1 for the EAD had a wrong middle initial. We called to correct it but haven't heard anything yet. We're hoping the biometrics letter arrives with the correct spelling/initials. If not, we hope it won't cause a delay in going to the appointment or we can show the correct NOA1 for AOS to do the biometrics.

Don't stress about it. Take your birth cert with you and marriage cert to the biometrics appointment (or when you walk in) and they can fix it there and then. If you still have issues THEN I'd make an infopass.

Call USCIS and have it corrected immediately. This is not a minor clerical error and is now how your name is spelled on their database. You'll have to have it corrected before your biometrics and get a replacement biometrics letter. If you don't have this corrected it will continue to haunt you all the way to the GC being mispelled. I ignored a misspelled letter and I'm still waiting for a replacement correctly spelled GC 3 months later.

They misspelled my wife's name on the EAD NOA1 as well, and I just called the number that is listed on the NOA1 and we changed it over the phone. However, we got a biometrics letter just for the EAD and it had the wrong spelling still. And then yesterday we got another Biometrics letter for both the EAD and for AOS and it had the right spelling. I would call just to be sure, but I am sure that you can get it all worked out without a problem. Good luck!

They asked me to check the spelling of my name when they filled out my information at the Biometrics appointment so there will be a chance to change it
