My fiancee told me that her auntie says the embassy will send out a C.I. or some type of investigter to the residence of the fiancee and question neighbors and family about the relationship before they will release the visa to be forwarded to the fiancee.

Has anyone else experianced this or is it just a myth?

I never hear of any mention of this on the forum so perhaps it's just a rummer?

It happens, but it's rare.

IF her casefile is in AP, there's some chance of it, albeit small.

Why is her auntie involved in the casefile, at this point ?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Not that PI And VN handle things the same, but as Darnell said, we were in AP and they came out and questioned neighbors, family members and even called my ex-wife.. It all depends on how they want to handle things and if there are red flags in the case...

Her auntie use to work in the embassy and so she is assisting us with the paper work and inform her of the proceedures at the embassy.

I dont believe there is any red flags in our case, the interview was very brief and only a few questions asked of her, the console didn't even ask for any recent pictures or updated pay stubs and bank statements which I sent to my fiancee just in case.

My fiancee has a few relatives in differant counties that went thru the visa process and they said a interviewer came to the residence to gather additional info in thier cases.

Thanks for the reply.
