Change consular post?

We have been waiting since October for a immigrant visa appointment at the Sana'a embassy. I heard there are more than 1000 people in the database waiting for appointments, so it could considerably be a long wait. Add to the fact that since March the embassy is short-staffed because of the political problems in the country. I am considering to just change the embassy because Sana'a embassy is to backed-up/unhelpful. We want to try to get my husband (Yemeni) a work visa for Saudi Arabia and then move the consular processing to Riyadh. Any ideas/experience on this?

Does anyone know how long it takes to move the embassy?

you are not the only one. My case was approved in the NVC on November... and until now we still did not get the appointment. I am considering relocating the embassy, but i am thinking Jorden. if you have already relocated to Saudi. Please let me know how it went.

Thank you. and wish you all the best.

I have a similar condition. My fiance's case was approved by the NVC on December 20, 2011. I e-mailed the Yemeni embassy to ask if they got it, but they sent me a copy of the text on the website. I am wondering if you have transfered your case, and how long did it take to get an interview in Jordan or Saudi? Did you need to be there for the whole process or just for the interview day?

Your reply will be greatly appreciated. Good luck to all of us..
