well, 'average' people outside of the IT area don't follow IBM anymore.

They would know the hardware side today as "Lenovo."

Yeah IBM is not a big player in the consumer market anymore.

But it is still huge and very much a player.

That's no small change.

For real. That's the people's money! IBM is helping the state steal it.

Is IBM still in business?

Yes and a major employer in the Burlington area. They are also the "landlord" for the USCIS Vermont Service Center. IBM has a huge complex in Essex Jct., for future expansion and currently rent many of the buildings. USCIS moved most of their adjudicators and much of their other staff there in 2008. They also still have the facility in St Albans where you probably sent your I-129f and I-751 but it is basically a mail room now.

IBM Breaks Out

transparent.pngThursday, April 21, 2011 at 11:46AM Even though IBM reported an earnings season "triple play" on Tuesday after the close, investors sold the stock off on Wednesday. Today, however, it seems like investors are viewing the earnings report more positively, as shares are trading nicely higher. In fact, the stock has just experienced an upside breakout to new all-time highs, which should draw the attention of even more traders.
