How long does it take to get Visa after a successful interview?

If we are told we are approved can we make travel arrangements the same day as receiving approval from the consulate?

You can make travel plans today if you like, however...Don't make any travel plans until you have the visa in your hand!

Good luck

it depends on your country. I have seen people get it within two or three days and others who get it upto a month after. you should ask in your region specific forum, maybe someone there can answer you better.

Good Luck :star:

If your fiancé is a male from the Middle East, this question is very tough to answer! Many beneficiaries from the MENA countries have to go through additional background checks (AP/AR) after the interview. Because of this possibility, I would not make any travel arrangements until the visa is in hand.

Best of luck for your interview!

depends on

1. the postal service

2. the amount of time it will take for embassy to print the visa

3. whether or not the beneficiary gets AP

on and all,in all packet 3 instructions its suggested that you dont make any travel arrangements until you have the visa in your passport,at hand

I would not make arrangements until you have the visa in hand! Even if you are approved it can take weeks or months to get your visa! Everyone's case is different... my husband got his visa within a week after his interview, but others have been approved and were still placed in AP and waited months.
