Employer Letter and Evidences?

I am sure this question has been adequately addressed elsewhere in the forums but I was unable to find the answer to my question.

I am getting my financial support docs together and was wondering if a letter from my employer (direct from my Marketing Manager, not HR) as well as bank statements supporting that and the titles to two vehicles would be enough. It is harder for me to get the tax information so I was wondering if I would be safe with those items.

My fiance ask the consulate in Brazil the same question and here is the answer:

The same situation works for tax forms. It is not required for K-1 visas to present the tax forms at the interview. However, if the Immigration Officer verifies the necessity of the document, it will be required. Based on this scenario, we recommend you to bring the aforementioned document.

I hope it helps. You always can get a co sponsor if you need the tax forms, but I don't think you need it.

I am sure it will be fine.. but is there a reason you can't obtain the free tax transcripts? You have filed taxes, yes?

My tax situation is long and complicated and would be much harder to show my actual situation. My current job and assets are more than enough, I am just wondering whether or not they will ask for the tax info.

I don't know entirely if your consulate will require copies of your tax returns - most of them do - but I know you will definitely have to send tax returns for at least the most recent year when filing form I-864 (adjustment of status)

If you can't come up with the tax info now, will you be able to within 90 days of your fiancee entering the US?

Are you sure of this information? I have never heard of providing this at the AOS. I don't think my last tax return will show enough. I was significantly promoted just this year so my current situation is fine.

Yes. Look at form I-864, section 25.

It specifically asks for at least the most recent year tax returns. Alot of people send three years, although doing so is optional.

Your CURRENT income matters more than what you made last year, the year before that, or the year before that.

Actually, this also brings up a good question and I am wondering the same thing on the employer letter. Is it enough from our immediate supervisor or does it need to be from HR or payroll as the OP asked.
