Ready to Send N-400 - One Question

Ok - so after 6 years of being LRP I finally stopped procrastinating and now have my file ready to send for my N-400 Citizenship application. I'm going to file on the basis of having been LPR for 5+ years not on the basis of having been married to US citizen for 3+ years just because that seems easier.

Only question outstanding is one my husband can't remember the answer to - the full date of his first marriage ( Over 30 years ago). Do you think I will likely get an RFE for not knowing the date (I put approx 1978/79 on the form and have included his divorce Certificate, since I'm not applying on the basis of marriage anyway?

I could wait another month (don't really want to) and get copies from the Superior Court but it seems unnecessary since I've enclosed the proof of divorce (only have top sheet which states date of divorc, not date of marriage as he never had full set) and am not applying on basis of mariage anyway.

Thought/comments?

Sometimes the divorce decree contains the date of marriage or a duration...any chance its there and you've missed it?

I have the same problem. The duration or marry date is not on the divorce decree.

The divorce decree shows the date of divorce so I entered the end date on the N-400 but can't remember the actual marry date.

Worse yet, can't remember the county where the marriage license was applied for.

Anyone have any suggestions on what to do - is it necessary to include the divorce decree with the filing of N-400 for spouse?
