:o:o This has not been a good week for me at all. On Saturday April 9,2011 I recieved the approved NOA for my step -son. This was done as a expeditie with the help of my local congressman. My husband's petition has been approved since 12/23/11. The reason both peption were not approved at the same time was due to the fact that I filed the petitions as a K-3/k-4, so my step-son was not automatically included in that process, so I had to do it as a separate petition. So, finally on 4/9/11 I get the good news that he is approved (step-son) On Monday I open my mail box to get a letter form NVC stating that they have sent my husband petition back to USCIS, and they put no explanation as to why. :( I have been on the phones ALLLL week with USCIS&NVC trying to get answers...NVC tells me to call USCIS. USCIS tells me they don't know and it will at least 120days. Someone please help me with this. The whole purpose of my step-son's petition being expediited was to have it united with his father's petition which was already at NVC. In fact, I had already paid the AOS fee of $88.00. I was waiting to pay the IV bill, and send all the supporting documents in til my step-son's had reached the NVC.

Exuse my french... THIS -hit just make me want to holler, and throw up my hands. I don't understand.PLEASE!!!! PLEASE HELP ME TO UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GOING ON. I never receieved any REF from USCIS for any of the petitions. And as far as NVC goes, I never even got a chance to send in the supporting documents. VJ FAMILY, I REALLY NEES SOME ANSWERS ,PLEASE HELP ME TO UNDERSTAND. HAS ANYONE BEEN THROUGH THIS?I was also told that they do this to marry this cases together into one. Okay, I can accept that if that is the case, but I can't seem to get a answer. I will be having some Jamaican overproof tonite...cuzz this right here!!!right here..smh. again ,vj family please help to understand.

((((americandiva)))) :(

I wish I could give you some answers!

Try to have a good weekend, let the stress off your back for a minute, and pick it back up on Monday...

I hope someone from VJ can share in the experience. (F)

If nothing else, maybe USCIS can give you some answers next week.

unfortunate.

First - the NVC will not send a case back to USCIS to be joined with another.

Second - The NVC has no knowledge that you have another pending/approved case with USCIS until they received the approved case.

Its not likey for a case to be returned to USCIS unless the NVC have found errors in the case that should have been addressed before it was sent.

Uscis will review the case and forward back to the next dept. give them a call on monday and speak with a level 2 agent eho will be able to provide specifics. You also may wish to contact USCIS's dispute dept. From DOS's site.
