NVC received our case back from Consulate

I just confirmed that our case was received by the NVC today and they will forward the case to USCIS, they said today. I kind of doubt that really. Since it was an aprroved CR and we received a 221g refusal, what should I expect now? I mean time wise. I will not go into detail about the refusal as I am still not getting a real reason for the refusal. I am just curious about the wait time to hear anything from USCIS.

Two to six months usually before USCIS will contact you. What was approved was an I-130 petition, not a CR anything.

Thank you. I thought that I will have a long wait to hear from them. I am worried that I may receive a request for further evidence right before my trip to see my huband in May.

It's really hard to tell when you'll hear from them, but when you do, you'll probably only have 30 days to respond. Best to make sure somebody is tending to your mail.

Thank you. I will have someone look at my mail in case it comes while I am away. The good thing is that my visit will only be about 10 days because of constraint with my employer.

I am sorry about your case i do understand how u feel cause i am in the same situation. It s almost 8 month since USCIS got my case back and we have not heard anything yet. This waiting is very stressful but I hope for the best. During this waiting time we ve gathered lots of proof i recommend u to do the same it will be helpful for us. Good luck to u we should be strong.
