We need more details about your situation. You left everything in your profile blank as well as no timeline.

Which Consulate, Country, Local office, where are you now, in the USA, outside? If here how long (timeline helps with this) Married yet, starting on AOS?

You say company, understand it takes time to get a work permit on K1. You may check with the local USCIS office about work permit before moving to LA.

You will get more responses if you provide more info in your profile and timeline, you know the adage "You will attract more bees with honey than with vinegar."

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Hiya all,

Discovered this site too late. I have finally got my K1 visa but my comapny want me to transfer out to LA is there any way without the L1 I could get an emergency work permit . How long will it take. Good luck to you all

I've never heard of an emergency EAD for K1 visa holders. You can try and get a temp one if your POE is JFK or you'd have to apply for EAD: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...page=k1k3ead#k1

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

No, there is not. You either take a 3+ month vacation from work or have your employer chop chop for an L1 application.

If you enter the US with the K, you are 'just' another K-1 & have the same restrictions as other K-1s who would like to start working immediately.
