I have no idea what was happening at USCIS (vacation???), but they had not updated their website since MARCH 31st, 2001 for the date in which they were processing visas. Why even have a website in the first place???

I checked this morning, like I do EVERY DAY, and it was still stuck on processing I-130 petetions recieved on Nov. 16th. I've checked this afternoon and VIOLA! They are now processing petetions recieved on Nov. 18th. Of course ours was submitted on Nov. 17th, and for this they have made a caveat:

As of April 15, 2011, we are processing petitions filed on November 18, 2010.

Note: On Friday, April 15, 2011, Approval Notices or Requests for Additional Evidence were posted to U.S. petitioners or attorney on record for petitions filed on November 16 and November 17, 2010.

GUH!

So I guess we should keep our eyes peeled for the update in the post! :) So they are averaging two weeks for each submission??? Holy Moly.

Oh I've got patience. What I don't have is tolerance for an organization that finds itself so overwhelmed that it can't operate a website to advise people of their status'. If that's the case, why offer an update at all? Why not just say, you'll get more information when we give it to you in the post?

It took 2 months for me to get my spousal visa to move to the UK, it's going to take us nearly a year for my husband's to come through.
