My wife's conditional two year green card will expire 3 months from now on July 15,2011.

I would like to mail the I-751 application along with all necessary documents on Monday April 18,2011.

Is this ok? I heard from some people that you have to mail it exactly the first day of the 90 day window, which is today April 15,2011.

I don't know, after hearing that, I got confused on when is the right time to mail this.

People mail it in on exactly the 90th day. We waited about 2 weeks AFTER our 90 day window opened and so far so good

90 days before the expiration of the green card with when you CAN send it in, not you HAVE TO send it in

Good luck

Sorry, I still don't get it.

People mail it in on exactly the 90th day? which means they mail it in the last day their GC expired or 90 day before their GC expired?

So you're saying I will be ok if i mail it in on monday april 18th.

No You can mail it 90 days BEFORE it expires.

2yrs - 90 days = the day you can mail it and they will accept it.

If you mail it BEFORE it hits that 90days before expiration they will reject it.

You can send it Monday.

Your 90 day "window" opens Apr 16. You can send it any day from Apr 16 to July 14. If they get it before Apr 16, they send it back. If they get it after July 14, you have problems because the greencard has expired.

There is a whole forum on removing conditions where you can post your questions

the window opens 90 days before the expiration and closes on expiration day. send it anytime during the open "window" period
