we will have letters from two friends who know us since we got married and know my husband since they were lil kids.

but I have one friend who is really a very good freind, but have not met her until this year and I am wondering is she can write a letter. She knows my husband since she was 17..what do you guys think?

thanks

The letter is not about her relationship with your husband it is about her knowledge of yours as a couple. If you think she can speak to that effectively than that would work.

right...that;s what I thought. I will have two other friends who know us since we got married+my parents in law. But I think we will use this friend that I was talking about becaue we get along very well, we went to school together and we spend time with she and her husband more than we the other two freinds, because we live closer. thanks

I did not send ANY affidavits and we were approved without interview. From a well placed source within USCIS I can tell you that affidavits are, at best, secondary evidence. Simply not worth bothering with. We sent -0- affidavits and -0- photos but lots of financial/family/insurance/official documents type evidence.

alright. I don't they it would hurt to send them since I ahve them now. as far as financal stuff we have the house title, the checking account, the tax resturns and that's it. we have the gym memebership together, plane tickets, the marriage preparation from the Catholic Church(we had a second wedding in my country last year). I hope that's enough.

They won't hurt. They prefer to see a mingling of family business and financial assets. The Church documents are probably good also. Best are documents that are created as a result of doing things together, not as a result of asking friends to sign "affidavits"

Pinned at the top of this forum is some great info regarding evidence.

USCIS is not trying to interfere in legitmate marriages, they are trying to prevent fraud. People that are trying to pull a fraud always have lots and lots of photos, affidavits from friends, birthday and Christmas cards addressed to them, health club memberships, magazine subscriptions...even utilities (hey, someone has to pay the electric bill)

What they prefer to see is that you give access to your MONEY to this person. If you are pulling a fraud do you commit to buying a house together? File a joint tax return? Allow that person access to your bank accounts? Buy life insurance or give them half ownership of your car? No. You do that for a legitimate spouse. Do you allow them to be the listed guardian of your children? Do you allow them to approve medical procedures for your child?

Together with the other things you have, you should be fine.
