Hello everybody!!!

I am applying for my Naturalization and as soon as I get it within the next weeks max, I will apply for my fiance.. I know it's a long shot.. But better be prepared in advance!:) So here is my question.. Any of you know the process of having a medical doctor license in the US when you went to school overseas???.. Please can you share this process? How feasible is it? My fiance wants to continue his profession and I am willing and able to help him in that endeavor.. But I wanted to know how he can prepare for that... He still have a little bit than a year or so to come.. But I am guessing it is a long process so if I can have more detail on that from people who know what they are talking about, I will really appreciate. Please please, help if you can. I want to know the process, possible review courses, prices, timeline, etc...

Thank you so very much!

PS: French is his first language..

Hi.. He is done with med school and has worked as a medical doctor for alost a year now. He was a good student. But the system is very hard there. So I am not sure they will understand his grade. Yet, he has his doctorate diploma already. Can you tell me more about the possibilities? I think he can do it. But at the same time, people are telling me that if we do that, it brings a lot of stress into the relationship.. But I want to know what is the reality??..

Thank you.

I don't know about people doctors but my hubby is a vet. and for him to be licensed to practice in the US he would have to take a series of exams both written and practical at a cost of about $6,000. Maybe a Google on the matter would reveal some information.
