Filed in October and was looking for NOA2 approval. Received email today pending for additional information UGH!!!!! Called customer service at UCIS no help at all. All they said was you need to wait 7-days and letter explaining what is needed was mailed yesterday. I wonder hmmmmmm......I sent everything they requested.

Couple things it may be:

I put Shanghai as consulate and it is Guangzhou

Also, divorce record and birth certificate are in Chinese (no translation or notary)

Would either of these cause "additional information needed"?

I hope its not something stupid like forgot to put N/A or none in the wrong place

Not a happy camper right now......... :(

Both of those items will cause a RFE.

Get your certified translations while you await the official RFE in the mail.

wait for the postal mail - that's the ONLY thing that will contain the list of what they want.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

My guess is the non translated documents generated the RFE.

However.......

wait for the postal mail - that's the ONLY thing that will contain the list of what they want.

you will not know for sure until you receive the hard copy as Darnell says.

I would follow Sichuan Red's advice, get the translations while you wait for the hard copy.

Yes, it was because the divorce decree wasn't translated into English and certified. Already in process and should have Thurs. :)
