Las Vegas Marriage - How to get marriage certificate?

Hi All,

We are getting married shortly in Vegas.

We are getting married on a Saturday and then leaving on Monday afternoon.

Is there any way to get the marriage certificate quickly in person before we leave?

The minister said he will file it first thing on Monday (can he file it before then? I think they are closed?)

We have our application pretty much ready to go. Just need to get married and get the paperwork all together.

Probably not. I think you have to be married before they file it.

April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)

May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

What I meant is, we're getting married on Saturday but I think the office is closed until Monday (not too sure how that works).

What's the earliest the minister can file the marriage so we can get the certificate in person?

I'm trying to avoid having to wait for the mail...

Hi!

we did the same thing, married in Vegas on Saturday. The earliest the minister can file the marriage docs is on Monday, since the Recorder's office is open Mon-Fri only. Our marriage was recorded on Monday, I was able to order the certificate online on Tuesday, and it took about a week to get it in mail.
