I applaud Obama for not giving in to this nonsense. "He can end the debate today if he just shows his birth certificate". First of all- that is obviously not true. Anyone who has ever tried debating with a 9/11 truther has realized that when conspiracy theorists get something stuck in their head there is simply no getting it out, no matter how many of their "facts" you shut down.

Something I did not know was that in 1981 Oswald's family relented and unearthed his body to prove to a bunch of Kennedy theorists that it was actually him and not a look alike just to satisfy similar conspiracy theorists claims. At the end of the day, they were basically saying the same thing. "let's just see that body and prove it once and for all".

B.S. They proved it was Oswald and still Oliver Stone made his movie, and the conspiracy believers continue to believe. Once we started digging up dead bodies to try to satisfy Conspiracy Theorists that when I think we hit rock bottom and fortunately our Government pretty much realized it, and we now know we owe these people absolutely nothing. It's up to them to prove their theories, not us to continue to try to disprove them.

They interviewed the clerk who checked his birth record fairly recently. His boss was apparently a strong supporter of republican party, so if something had been wrong I bet it would have been reported. He did comment that not even Obama himself is allowed to access the original document in the archives and that when checking such records there is always a second witness present to verify.

Beyond that, his birth record was listed in multiple local newspapers....
