I am completing the paperwork for the CR1 today.

3 questions which I cannot find answers to.

#1. Im not sure what to put in section 22. It asks you to fill in the info if you will apply for AOS. Also I am unlear if I put that I will apply for a visa in Toronto Canada (where I'm from)or San Diego CA (where I'm going) in the second part of 22.

#2. In 15...Do I name my employer in Canada or are they only asking this question if you are employed in the USA?

#3. Not everything fits when I am typing it in ADOBE. Such as my middle name (cant fit last letter) and my wife's phone number wont fit the last digit. Do I just write it in after I print it?

Thanks!

I also need to add one. Sorry just making sure I have got this right.

It asks in section 21 to state where and for how long we lived together. Since we cannot legally live together we have only visited eachothers country. So do I list "None:?

For line 21 you can put N/A if you have never lived together.

for line 22, we put N/A since my wife is not in the US. Basically it is asking if your spouse is currently in the US and adjusting status. If not then it is N/A. If they are in the US and adjusting status then the city and state where they will do the AOS. If they aren't allowed to adjust status then what consulate will they apply for a visa.

Line 15 is asking for the beneficiaries Employer. Look at that page of the form as two big columns. One side is for the petitioner and one for the beneficiary.

If it doesn't fit then just hand write in block letters after printing.

THANK YOU!

Also I have read that in the second part of 22 you should add the city where you will be interviewed. In my case I am from Toronto so I am guessing my interview will be in Montreal. So I should put Montreal in that part.

With that being said is there any way to fly somewhere else to be interviewed or is it based on where you live?

Hi Moyo, I'm in the same stage as you, and I've been searching this site like crazy to make sure that we've got everything filled out properly before we send it all in.

THANK YOU!

I read on here that Montreal is the only embassy in Canada that can process spousal visas, but I was wondering the same thing about the second part of 22. Hopefully someone here can answer this for both of us.

One thing I did find on here, was about signing the forms in blue ink and making sure to press hard to leave an impression, that way they don't think its a scanned signature and won't issue a RFE.

Good Luck :)

Unfortunately Montreal is the only option for spousal visa interviews in Canada so you can put Montreal in that spot.

When I filed, that question confused me so I left it blank and luckily had no issues; not that I would recommend that but I hadn't discovered VJ yet. whistling.gif

Good luck on your journey.

Hey thanks for your input it is really appreciated.

I am now doing the G-325A's. From what I am reading on the net it is saying you need 4 copies for yourself and 4 for your spouse? Why do I need so many?

Also I would put in the bottom that "this form is submitted in connection to" - Other and I130 correct?

Thanks!

1. N/A for AOS and Montreal for Consulate. Toronto doesn't deal with family based visas. Only Montreal.

2. N/A This is looking for employer in the USA

3. Yes, just hand print anything that won't fit.

I also need to add one. Sorry just making sure I have got this right.

It asks in section 21 to state where and for how long we lived together. Since we cannot legally live together we have only visited eachothers country. So do I list "None:?

"We have visited but not yet resided in the same country."
