When to Contact Extra Help

As of next week, April 23rd, we will be at 5 months! Do I need to wait the additional 30 days before contacting anyone higher up to help out with this matter or can I as soon as that day has passed!?!??! Thanks

11/17/10-Mailed I-129F via FedEx!!!

11/18/10-Received this morning and signed! (on our way)

11/25/10-Received Email this morning that they have received Application and sent to VSC!

04/19/11-NOA2 APPROVED

05/01/11-Consulate Received

08/15/11-Interview!!

Interview Result- AP :o(

10/10/2011-AP FINISHED..Visa READY Thank you Jesus!!

10/24/11-Visa in HAND!!!

5 months is the normal processing time. So if you haven't heard anything from USCIS after 5 months, I think you can now start calling the senator or congressman for help.

Well, I just emailed my Congressman so we will see what happens next.... I know Vermont is behind, but something needs to be done..>I just returned from seeing him 5 days ago and everyday I am crying because I miss him soooo!!!

Good luck to you please let me know how you get on with your congressman, cuz I will need to contact them anytime soon this month. Best of luck to you guys :)

Seems to be very hit-or-miss. Some have reported great results after contacting their senators, some have had the expedite denied. I've seen some claim to have gotten an expedite by calling and "demanding" it. But good luck with that. I guess it depends on the officer you get. Sometimes the squeaky wheel gets the grease, other times people will dig in their heels because they don't want to be ordered around.
