Kobe Bryant is contaminated with nuclear waste from the Fukushima plant.

Much as I enjoy sukiyaki and shabu shabu made with fresh Kobe, I'm going to buy local from now on.

Don't worry. A lot of that beef is grown in Montana.

Is there a Problem?

I am not a "sock puppet". I'm not quite sure how to take that, but, I feel a little slighted.

Was that derogatory, name calling question?

Keep posting. I'll eventually figure out who this is.

This is the absurdity of society's veneration of sporting idols for their "character", rather than their particular prowess for the cul-de-sac of athleticism arbitrarily determined by the rule book of the game they play.

Kobe Bryant is quite good at throwing a ball into a ring from various distances. A lot of people quite admire him for it. Yet this is not enough, it would seem, for the desired narrative of the doting masses - and sport has forever been desperate to encroach on the utterly disparate ground of human integrity, of heroics, moral fortitude and dignity.

So we must adore Kobe Bryant the man; he must be an example to our children; an ambassador for our city - however ironic a treatment this may be in a profession where success is achieved almost ubiquitously by those who prioritise its practise over their studies.

Clearly Bryant is deserving of reprimand for his comments. But there is an argument that this is a bigger deal than it need be, and it lies with asking ourselves why we take the Kobe Bryants of society any more seriously than the Paris Hiltons.

Lakers over Miami in 7, or if they face Chicago...then Lakers in 6.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

God I hope not. Anybody but the Lakers.

Iv'e always hated the Lakers (Sonics fan here since age 4), but I have to pull for the West Coast. That and I hate to see a Texas team win anything if I can help it (West Division), and the longer it takes Lebron to win a title ...the better.

If I call you white trash with a serious or malicious tone, it's a reasonably safe assumption I'd discriminate against people I perceive as white trash.

And what? How would that affect me if you called me white trash and would even discriminate against me? How? which homosexual is being harmed by Kobe Bryant? He won't hire them to be his interior decorator? I mean, heck, I am even in favor of Gay marriage but this just gets a bit ridiculous. If Kobe Bryant would discriminate against certain people, whatever certain people, he will do so whether he says a word or not.

worse, in my opinion, are people with the power to actually help or hurt someone that pander to groups of people and then do nothing.

Sonics? Wow. I got a chance to see them play in Phoenix back in the 90's when Payton and McMillan were still in the league. That was a damn shame when the team packed up and left Seattle.

Yeah, my hate for the Lakers goes back about 20 years. I'm a Suns fan until I die. I even tried liking the Lakers when I lived in Southern California, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. They are the Yankees of basketball - you either love 'em or hate 'em.
