Hello fellow VJers.. I got some problem about my divorce paper for my first marriage..I have 2 divorce in the past..the second one is ok but got this problem with my first as I have called the court in New York as am here in the Philippines now with my fiancee..they can release the papers for 2 to 4 weeks and I have only up to May 9 to submit this paper..so that must be more than 3 weeks from now.. My question is can I call the USCIS to extend some weeks to send the requested forms from me? Its hard for me as am in the Philippines now..Any advice please.. wil they deny my application if am not able to comply them the said papers on the said deadline??? Any advice please will be much appreciated.. am so frustrated now specially my fiancee...thanks in advance

I don't know the answer to your question. However, you can try calling the USCIS to get an answer. Or, perhaps your fiancé has a family member or a friend who can set an Infopass appointment with the USCIS and get an answer to your question in-person.

I don't know if it applies to your case, but you might want to keep in mind that both of your divorces must either be annulled or must be judicially recognized in the Philippines. If you filed for divorce in the U.S., you will be required to get an annulment in the Philippines. If your ex-husband is the one who filed for divorce, you will be required to get your divorce judicially recognized in the Philippines.
