The only thing we did wrong in the application was add Charles' daughter when asked information about children, it should've been just my biological child.

Better tell that trainee to read the N-400 instructions, says to list all the children in your present marriage, and that does include your step child. Guess I never thought about also including the M-476, instructions and the newest downloads for eligibility and required evidence, but did include the later for my stepdaughter. And I gather your IO never really read the interview form where he could have checked congratulations pending supervisor approval. Then who is being approved, you or your IO?

Didn't have to bring in instructions when I went into our SS office, got into a bit of an argument about what to bring in, but there was a huge sign on the wall, told that guy to read that.
