I emailed NVC and according to them, Affidavit of Support fees have been received. That's the IV fee right?

Now have to mail DS-3032 forms and Immigrant Visa Application Fee. We mailed out the DS-3032 yesterday and will pay the fee this week. What comes after this? I thought after we send the DS-3032, we get asked to go for a medical?

No, Affidavit of Support fee isn't the IV fee.

Affidavit of Support = AoS fee = $88

Immigrant Visa Application = IV fee = $404

There's no DS-3032 fee. That form is just to choose someone as agent to receive mail on behalf of the beneficiary. Once the DS-3032 is accepted, the IV fee is then available on the payment portal site.

The medical is only done after you have sent in all the packages (AoS and IV), and your case is complete at NVC, and an interview date is scheduled. Then you can get the medical done.

Ok my aunt said she already paid one fee. She is not sure which one so can that be the AoS fee?

So after the DS-3032 is sent, than she can pay the IV fee?

After DS-3032 is accepted and IV fee is paid than case is complete?

It has to be the AOS fee she paid as that's the first one available.

Yes, after the DS-3032 is sent and accepted by NVC, then the IV fee will become available.

And no, you have to send in the AOS and IV packages before the case is complete, and that usually takes 2-3 weeks after the packages are sent in, and that's only if there's no RFEs.

AOS package has been sent.

For the IV package, do I send it now (we paid the IV fee bill) or wait until they tell me to send it?

Does the IV bill appear as PAID in the payment portal? If so, then yes, you can send the IV package now.

Ok got it. So once it appears as "paid", we can send the package? Thank you so much! Do we need to fill the papers or my aunt? Last question, can we email the papers to NVC or does it have to be by snail mail?

Yup, once it appears as PAID, you can send it in. Whoever the beneficiary is fills out the DS-230 and includes their certificates.

And Pakistan is not an eligible country for electronic processing, so you have to snail mail it in.

What certificiates? I will get my aunt to print everything out and fill it out now along with the certificates and send it to us so we can mail it to the NVC.

My other aunt told me that we made a mistake of paying the IV bill now as we could have paid it later on at the interview. Is that true?

Also each member that is coming with my aunt (her husband and three kids who are all under 18) have to fill their own DS-230?

Have you not been reading the guides? Please read: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/EZGuideSpouse It lists all the documents you need to send in with the DS-230 for the IV package..

And no, you can't pay the IV bill at the interview, it has to be at NVC. The only time you can pay that fee (or the AOS fee) at the consulate/embassy is if you were expedited right through NVC to the consulate/embassy.

And yes, I do believe that each person immigrating has to fill out their own DS-230 and submit their own documents.
