I've just got recently married, my wife is from Ukraine she is staying here in the US temporarily legally due to her job. since I am a US citizen and she is living here legally what should be our first step so that she can obtain her residency card

06/26/2007 met

09/21/2007 she goes back to Ukraine

03/26/2008 I visit Ukraine for 10 days

09/09/2008 She comes as an Aupair to the US

02/14/2010 engagement

04/01/2010 NOA1

04/26/2010 She leaves to Ukraine before her visa expires

Provided your wife did not enter the USA with the intent to marry you (I presume it was for work and she met you here) then you can file an I-130 AND an I-485 (and pay the fees) and she can adjust status. Follow the guides for adjusting status from a tourist, student or work visa. There is a forum just for that.
