Looks like you have it all covered there with RFE response. Make sure you keep copy of it all to bring to interview too, since NVC doesn't get all of that, so in essence neither will the embassy.

I finally got a case closed at NVC on December 30 and interview scheduled for February 7.

Just wanted to give everyone a quick update. Hopefully everyone is doing well with there adjustments of having spouses here now! I see a couple of you are still fighting through this process and I wish all of you lots of luck and will pray for the speedy resolve of your cases!

My hubby has been here now a full month and we are settling in very nicely. We have spent so much time trying to get everything situated. Social Security offices, Bureau of Motor Vehicles, Bank Accounts, etc etc etc lol. But we are making very good progress and on Tuesday he will hopefully pass his drivers test and get an official Ohio license! How exciting!!! In the meantime we are having lots of fun discovering America and teaching him the different ways of American life. He sure does love the selection of food here! I even managed to find a Euro market here that has Borjomi water!

We have not yet received his green card... But we have received about 5 welcome letters. Each one reads a bit different and has some different disclaimers on it. Hopefully we will be getting the special package here soon.

And for anyone who moves between their Interview scheduling and actual interview take some notes... I moved into our new house about 2 weeks before our interview. I let the interviewing officer know that we had a new address and he told us to wait and update it at the point of entry. So at POE we did this and the officer seemed to do everything correctly. Well... our welcome letters are still coming to our old address. (Which is my parents house so no problem getting the documents) but for those of you who move and have no other family at the old address to forward it I would DEFINATELY recommend that you use the official form and send it to the USCIS just to be sure nothing gets lost in the shuffle!

Ill let ya all know when we have a real Green Card!

Thank you so much for your response. I scanned all 2079 pages into PDF doc's and emailed them to my husband and myself (kept a hard copy on my pc and backed my pc up) So when the time comes he can print it all for the interview and take a small suit case with him full of Proof.

You are in our prayers for your interview. Please let us know how it goes. It's just around the corner :)

yeah - I dropped out of sight for a while - the immgration process was WAY too draining for me, and once that November interview was over, I had to focus on 5 kids more intently. Every step of the way had me frustrated, and sickened by government waste. Even the low volume Stockholm embassy said they didn't have time to interivew husband any earlier, gave him an 8 minute interview and sent him along. While I am grateful they gave him no trouble and it was so short, I couldn't help but think they could have seen him a LOT sooner.

Husband arrived the night of Thanksgiving, so we had "Fakesgiving" dinner a few nights later.

20' shipping container of personal belongings just arrived last week, so we are officially all on-site now.

Grateful for many things, laughing at most things, embracing life.

Best wishes to all my VJ acquaintances. Your stories have left me laughing & crying. The world is a better place because of love like that which you have for your partner. Take it from a widow when I say, "treat every day with your partner like your first date and like your last day on earth." :)

Just wondering if anyone else has received theirs and what the heck the holdup is! We have his social security card, drivers license, everything except the official green card.

No problem Dave! Glad I could help you out for once lol!

My hubby passed his driving test tuesday! the lady was super nice and the only thing he was penalized on was tapping breaks unnecessarily at intersections. oops a little too cautious lol

All we had to take to the social security office was our wedding license, his passport with visa and his birth certificate. When you first walk in ask the security guard for an application for a first time social. They will give you one form to fill out and thats it! It was so easy! Let me know if you need any other info!

havent been on here in a while ... the busy-ness of my new life, in the Army ... Everything is very exciting and falling into place, in it looks like most of you have found eachother once again :) It's great to read how it all turned out for most of us ... on those still pushing through on the journey ... hold on, keep going and don't give up ... It'll all be worth it in the end ... Thank all of you for the support along my journey, through good and bad... your stories have made me laugh, cry, and lifted me up when i was down ... Thank you all for sharing experiences, advice, and much more along my journey. I owe you all bigtime... Hope all is well, keep the faith in there! God bless!
