In order to do the medical, do we need the appointmentletter from NVC to bring along with us?

Not sure for your country...but for India it was a requirement for admission and to actually do the medical examination.

There are no specifications for my country on the medical on NVC... So idk ... How do I find out maybe?

There has to bean approved list of hospitals in where you have to complete the medical. Give them a ring and see what they require for a USA visa medical examination.

Congrats to all of you who have received an interview date!!!! Even if it's later than expected, you should be thankful because you are VERY blessed.

Our case was completed on August 30th and we have yet to receive an interview date. At this point the Mumbai consulate could have kissed my butt a billion times with the amount of time they've taken to NOT put us on the interview schedule.

The October and November interview schedules have already been posted and we're not on them. The problem with that is that every time I call NVC they say that we weren't scheduled for October and to call back during the second week of Oct. to see if we're scheduled for November. If both schedules have already been posted and our case number is not on them, how are we supposed to hope that we're going to have an interview in November?????? All I have to say is, it's SUPER fun to spend the first year of our marriage apart and SUPER fun to have our first baby without my husband and it's ESPECIALLY fun to know that pretty much every other U.S. consulate in the world moves more quickly than Mumbai. And, yes, this post may be tainted with a tiny bit of something I call sarcasm.

I finished exactly one week before you and I have an Nov. 10th date. It is amazing that you are not in the Nov. list of appointments that is listed on the Mumbai Consulate webpage. I really hope you can get into an early December slot Shanna.

It's been 195 days since I have last layed eyes and touched my beautiful Kinnari and each day has been a battle that I want no one else to ever have to go through... I feel your pain. I really do...

fully agree. I hope you get your date soon! They seem to open up dates on the second Monday of the month.

Our latest insult: embassy sent a leter to my husband telling him to bring certified copy of MY previous husband's death certificate because they "only have a regular copy". And they refer to him as my "ex-husband!" Widowed people do NOT call their deceased spouses "ex". So wrong.

They never asked for deceased husband's "original" birth cert or marriage license. They have my tax transcripts and the 5 kids' social security survivor benefit statements! What?!! They don't believe in the integrity of the IRS and SSA??? Or th eUK Registrar?

They wouldn't even know he existed if I hadn't put him on the forms!!! And now new husband has to bring death cert to the embassy interview? They should have asked ME to send it straight to the embassy. SO INSENSITIVE.

Yes, we ARE grateful to have the interview date set. exceedingly grateful, even if *I* am fuming about the latest pseudo-RFE.

Are you sure ? I see that you have Belgium listed as your country. Not sure but I found the instructions for Brussels at least

I can't even begin to tell you how sorry I am that they are giving you guys such a hard time. That is SO insulting, I agree. And you can fume away all you want with me because I pretty much hate their guts, too. I pray they don't give you any more trouble because I think you've had quite enough. Hang in there!

Thanks Dave. I can't believe we're not on the Nov. list either and think it's criminal that we're not because I don't understand what gave your visa a month's priority over ours when we're only one week apart. I actually think they made a mistake because I'm seeing numbers on the interview list for CR1's that are WAY higher than ours and that doesn't seem right. I'm still hoping for our expedite to be approved so that we can be in Oct. or Nov. It is still pending. December is just too late and I will raise a HUGE stink if they do that to me.

Yes, for the medical... No specification on whether you should take your NVC appointmentletter with you.. that was the question really .. But, i'll call one of those doctors monday and find out. Otherwise, i'll go take that medical asap and try and call Us Embassy in BE and see if they can give me an earlier date. You never know!

So there you are, trying to find out how much the Embassy will actually have you pay them ... But this is like SOOOO confusing!
