Got an RFE yesterday in the mail Now, we have what they want, copy of petitioners birth certificate and correct size photos of beneficiary, we will mail it to California today. I really hope this doesn't throw us off far. We really need the approval! Visa journey says an RFE adds an extra month?

8-12 days at minimum.

Sorry to hear that but at least you got everything together quickly and getting it out the door. Did you get a text message or email about the REF?

We didn't get a text or email, just the letter in the post yesterday which was sent last week already. Our status has not be changed it still says 'initial review' and last updated on 28th April. Oh well, at least it's kinda moving right.

Hello to all April Petitioners,

Well, we are almost out of the “NVC Blackhole”. I don’t know what’s happen at the NVC???…First they assigned correct embassy for my wife and son, upon receiving the AOS Fee Bill, my wife’s embassy is changed to a different country along with a new NVC#. I contacted the NVC by phone & via e-mail…There response was continue with the process and we will change it…On Saturday morning I received IV Fee Bill for my son only. The more I think about it, the more I get frustrated ... Any way’s the facts are that we are almost at the finish line and out of the “Blackhole”.

NVC will use the email from G-1145 to email you the NVC Case number... However if you are calling the AVR message or the Live operator and get to know that you have a NVC Case number ready, then you need to call/ give the operator the email address of you and your foreign spouse. Then they will be able to send email communication of the DS-3-32 to the foreign spouse and AOS fee bill to US spouse.....

Else, you will get those in regular mail (meaning if no G-1145 was sent with I-130 petition).

Just one more thing, Can you please pass on NVC email address (if you know it) so that I can prepare draft on my end and send it to them as soon as I get my NVC case #.

On a side note, I heard that there is some sort of delay or redirection of visa petitions to other embassies for petitions that were originally destined for Bombay embassy. Have come across anything of that sort?

Nothing I have seen as of yet for redirection of embassies. A few September interviews have been made already for Bombay. No one was redirected as they all are still interviewing at Bombay.

We both got emails, every time something happens at NVC uptill now, both got emails for it

Called the NVC today and spoke to an operator, today they received the file! Timeline and spreadsheet updated appropriately!
