We didn't get a text or an e mail but I decided to just check the website and we were approved today! Woot NOA2! :)

USCIS Journey- 88 days

April 11th, 2011- Mailed I-130 petition

April 14th, 2011- NOA1 text message(Hardcopy 04/19/11)

July 11th, 2011- NOA2 text message and email

NVC Journey- 27 days once Case # received

August 1st, 2011- NVC received file

August 25th, 2011- Received case number, IIN, and Beneficiary ID number from operator, Gave email addresses, Sent in optin email, Submitted DS-261

August 25th, 2011- Optin Acceptance Email received

August 25th, 2011- AOS bill invoiced and paid

September 2nd, 2011- AOS bill appears as PAID, Emailed I-864 package

September 2nd, 2011- IV bill invoiced and paid

I know Shanna...just frustrating.

All my docs. are done and sitting in my file cabinet right next to me here. I pushed my wife like crazy to get those docs me ASAP for the IV packet and she came through right on time!

I have a feeling it's gonna be 50 days from NVC complete date to interview. Could be longer but I am pretty sure not less.

I have also been reading the newspapers back in India and they have been diverting a lot of interviews to other consulates/embassies as Mumbai is getting a new consulate here soon. Currently they have 2 windows to process all of these interviews.

Again...more frustration..lol

Thanks Dave! We're getting pretty excited about our baby boy. I'm going to skype the first moments after his birth for my husband - what a way to meet your daddy for the first time, huh!?

That's terrible about interviews being diverted, though. It would be really difficult for Prem to have to travel to another consulate for his interview; however, if it's faster elsewhere I guess we would welcome the inconvenience. Keep praying!

Congrats on all recent approvals. I was checking some WAC numbers near mine and one 6 ahead of me was just approved today. So I'm hoping tomorrow is my day.

Interesting tactic! Any idea how many applications they process each day?

Need some advice please.

I currently was laid off from my job on 6/28/11. I have already made over the 125% requirement. However I am now collecting unemployment benefits. I am NOT on welfare or collecting any type of public assistance. The directions say "PUBLIC BENEFITS CANNOT BE ACCEPTED". Unemployment doesn't fall into that category.

My question is why do I need a sponsor if I have already made the 125% which is required?

07/17/2013 Embassy refused our case yet again without an Interview and set our file back to NVC

if your 2011 wages exceed 125% of the povert level for the total number of dependants, then you don't need a co-sponsor. They will know that you lost your job but you are fine with the guidelines.

Good Morning Everyone,

I decided to call USCIS on Wednesday to inquire about the status of my case (even though it is way early and I expected to be completely blown off). The guy who answered was super nice and since their computers were having some issues we sat and talked on the phone about my marriage and such. He looked up my case and gave me tons of info as to the fact that the background checks and everything were all completed and now just in the massive pile waiting for my turn. I explained to him that my husband is not working as of 2 weeks ago and he suggested that I file an expedite request. SO I DID.. and within 2 hours I had an email from an adjucator requesting me to fax a copy of my receipt, recent pic together, and a letter requesting and expedite. I sent it over right away and last night I received an email back that my expedite has been APPROVED and it will be finalized within 1-5 days!!! WOO HOO!!!!

Is this the number you called? 1-800-375-5283 I figure I might as well give them a call to. Doesn't hurt right? :)

The delay looks like is at USCIS - CSC. While they are sending out NOA2 letters, they are uanble to send the case papers to NVC due to some supervisor shortage I guess. Some of our March filers got their cases at NVC but a large number of them are still waiting.

Take heart we all will be there soon.
