I'm an April Filer, too!!! So glad to have others starting the process around the same time. My I-130 for my husband was received on 4/15 and USCIS emailed me today (4/19) to let me know that the petition is headed to the CA service center. Yay!

Very Cool! Your husband is from India? Cool! I am a U.S. born citizen but I went back home to find my Indian Queen:). Which embassy/consulate will your husband report to once he gets his interview? We are from Gujarat so Mumbai(Bombay) is our designated consulate.

Very Cool! Your husband is from India? Cool! I am a U.S. born citizen but I went back home to find my Indian Queen:). Which embassy/consulate will your husband report to once he gets his interview? We are from Gujarat so Mumbai(Bombay) is our designated consulate.

Yes, my husband is from Maharashtra and lives in Navi Mumbai. We will be reporting to the the Mumbai consulate as well. Have you heard anything about the interviews there? We're not sure what to expect in terms of what they will ask or how fast the processing will be there. My experience with India is that you always have to hurry up and wait! haha

It's nice to meet you. It makes me feel better to know that there are others going through the same thing. It's only been 2 and a half months since I've seen him, but it's killing me already!

It's been 1 month and 1 day since I have seen Kinnari and I feel like I need to she a psychatrist to get thru these next several months. Feel for me as I am working on my Masters in Nursing and I can barely concentrate on the material and it's super fast paced!

I am hoping that she will be here around Mid-October as that semester/quarter is going to be rough and just having her here will ease my mind a great deal.

In terms of interviews....I have not heard anything "concrete" in terms of actual interview times and how soon they give out interview dates once all your paperwork is completed by NVC. I have seen people say 3-4 weeks after you declare you are ready for interview (In India) is when a date is given. In terms of reviews of the consulate and ratings...you can find that here. There you will find reviews/comments of what people experienced on the day of their interview and the processing. Its pretty much straight forward from what I have read. Just remember they have all the infromation in hand and will formulate the question from those documents (majority of the time). Just make sure you go over EVERYTHING in those documents and have confidence. It's actually kinda fun to go over this info over the phone/skype. At least it is for me...
