I sent a birthday package to my husband in Mumbai and Indian custom officials stole half of his present and his birthday card! Are you freaking kidding me?!!! Next time, I think I should send a pile of ####### and list an iphone on the customs slip so they'll be sure to open and try to steal it. It is just unbelievable to me how some countries operate. mad.gif

Can't say I am not surprised there. I would love to send gifts and what not to my wife and her family, but the fear of this happening has stopped me. I stick to my cards and documents. I am happy those are at least arriving in 7 days time and with the contents still intact.

My NOA 2 was processed. Sweet! It was faster than I thought. Check out my time line. Nothing special. THANK YOU VERMONT! I love the Green Mountain state.

Interesting. It's sheer luck you got it processed that fast or there was an expedite of some sort.

After reading through the thread about people having their NOA2 wrongly stating their spouse was in the US and would be applying for adjustment of status, even though they wrote on question #22 their spouse would be applying overseas at the appropriate Embassy or Consulate. I also saw a post in that thread where that question was left entirely blank by the poster and that poster received an improperly stated NOA2.

This seems to be an aberration, however, I am curious. When all of you (or your spouse if you are a beneficiary) completed your I-130, did you leave question #22 blank, put N/A on any or all of the lines, or just fill out the section about applying overseas. I just put the overseas section and left the local office lines blank.

Since my wife is not in the US nor applying for AOS, I put "N/A" for all fields of #22. I hope that was right?

I've checked a couple of other immigration sites and they too suggest to either leave it blank or fill in none or n/a for that section.

Maybe this is a portion of the form that applies for K3/K4 visa's?
