It feels so weird not having to think about nursing stuff, exams, assignments, clinicals. It felt weird today as I was doing housework and my mind was not thinking about something school related. Feels good to be on break, but I have noticed that time does go much slower not doing school work and just doing things around the house.

Ugg...lol

Hope everyone is doing ok, today it's 72 days for me in USCIS. Lets hope for an approval around July 4th!

Thank you for always contributing such uplifting encouragement to everyone here. It is appreciated. :)

Thank you for always contributing such uplifting encouragement to everyone here. It is appreciated. :)

Why Thank You! I try my best. I was a big downer when I came back home, but a good family discussion really turned my thinking around and has really helped me. I wish the best for everyone and a smooth journey to reunite with their loved ones. My brother than went thru the same situation about 10 years ago told me so very good advice and said "Hey, these next 8,9,10 months etc. are gonna be some of the worst times for both of you, support each other and just know after this separation, you have a lifetime together." This really hit me and changed my attitude.

We'll get thru it! Have faith and a positive outlook! :)

I know how that feels.

Due to logistics, we were not able to take a honeymoon. However, we are both looking to the time that we will take it. Since my wife will need a visa for the country we are planning to go to, we'll have to go to the Consulate of jurisdiction in another city and we'll make a time of that trip as well. Thoughts like this and others are always helpful.

I wonder if my wife is going to need this since we are planning a trip to Jamaica depending on when she gets here.

Man am I tired today, power washed the house and the deck and cleaned up all the windows. You learn to love windows to look out of throughout the year, but come spring/summer you hate them when you have to clean them! LOL!

Tommorow's agenda: Skype with my wife and touch up paint some high traffic areas and ceiling spots.

I checked the Jamaican Embassy's website and it says LPR's can enter without a visa so long as they have their green cards.

WOO HOO!!! Another week down and a new one started!!!

Per the Immigration Timelines tab the CSC is processing March 1st!!! Which I personally feel that means somewhere around the 15th (as some are earlier and some are later and still waiting or already approved... the never ending inconsistencies lol).

And today my estimate says...

Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between July 21, 2011 and August 3, 2011*.

Just keeps getting closer and closer!!!

I leave tomorrow morning to meet my hubby in Turkey. After all of the planning he decided to take a bus to turkey so that he could see all the sights along the way. Well... a big storm came through and caused a landslide on a mountain. His bus path is now blocked. He went this morning and purchased one of the very few air tickets left and got a refund on the bus ticket. Holding my breath that everything goes smoothly now! I will now need to take a bus from my airport and meet him in k. ptak square??? I dont even know how to ask for a bus in Turkish lol. This could be humerous or disasterous! Im hoping for the humor

Anyone who knows some basic Turkish phrases please help!!! hahaha

My estimated approval date has changed too- now mid July-Aug! started out late Sept :)

VSC seems to be working too, they approved an April filer on 6/10, but I can't see much info on the case.

In other news...

I never got my tax transcripts so I am calling the IRS phone number to order them, hopefully that method works better than the online order function.

Now seriously thinking about abandoning the k3 at this rate. My husband is the USC and being a doctor he is super busy. We were groping in the dark until I came across this site. I traveled on a b1/2 visa in Nov but was denied entry and was told that they needed me to have immigrant visa.we got married in Michigan in Aug 2010.

Someone misled my hubby by telling him not to petition as an lpr because it could take ten years! So he opted to apply for citizenship before petitioning and got it in April this year and submitted the i-130 same day.from then I decided to do all background checks on this process and am so much beta informed.the embassy had advised us to get a k3 visa if we want to be together soon BUT seems that route is equally long. Now waiting for noa2. Got our noa1 on April 25.

Yay April filers!! I just found this thread and am so excited to join.

Welcome and good to see you here!

My I-130 was received in Chicago on April 27 and I have yet to have any touches. Oh well, that seems to be a common trend. How do you check your estimated timeline? I'm hoping, like the rest of you, that this goes by as quickly as possible!

To check your estimated adjudication date, click on the arrow next your username at the upper right corner of the screen and then click on "My Timeline." After you are taken to your timeline page, scroll down towards the bottom and you will see the estimate.

Have you created an online account with USCIS? You would have to do so in order to see "touches." There is a column that says "last updated." When that date changes, your case has been "touched." Odds are that you will see very few, if any "touches."

Timeline

Now seriously thinking about abandoning the k3 at this rate.

If the K3 is not administratively closed by the NVC and is subsequently sent to the Embassy, just ignore all the correspondence the Embassy sends you regarding it. Go through all the processing steps at the NVC for the I-130 file to have that file sent to the Embassy for a CR-1 interview.
