my husband don't want be apply for his PCC until we don't got our NOA2.

he saying its risk if expires after 3 months gone take more time to get new1 again.

Takes 2 weeks to get a new one made from our local PD. I am having her wait until July 1 to apply for it. By July 15th she should have it and by the end of the 25-27 it should be in my hands in the States. I am banking on getting the NOA2 right around end of July. If we get it earlier we can pay our local PD a fee of 750 INR and have it rushed.

[update] - My wife got her passport with my name in it today.

@Jazz I think there is an option of getting PCC in tatkaal in Chandigarh... Don't know how much time that will take though... will find out...

I noticed an April I-130 filer got their NOA2 today. It's possible the file was expedited. If it was not expedited then it's an outlier.

This Passport processing times page is from the State Department. It may contain information or answers you are looking for.

As for the process, the wait continues. My latest timeline estimate slipped back into September (latest date being September 1st) after being entirely in August for a few days. I knew that could happen.

Update here, based on the responses from the poster of that thread, I have concluded there was not an expedite. So it falls under the category of aberration, somehow the file made it to an adjudicators desk ahead of other files.

I share Dave's sentiment, hopefully things will be better in terms of processing next week.

That's a weird thread/case. It's one heck of an outlier. I was starting to think maybe a DCF, but towards the end of it, the petitioner just got lucky.

What is RFE ..??

Based on Visajourney.. approx date for me to get a decision is by Aug 3rd week, I want to know what are the steps? n is there anything I can prepare in advance?

What is RFE ..??

Request for evidence. An adjudicator will send one to a petioner if the adjudicator needs more evidence to make a decision on a petition.
