Hey April Filers..

So I know that I am suppose to send Photocopy of my wife's Passport Biographic Data Page (First page and Last page) .. but my wife got her last name and middle name changed after marriage .. hence she obtained new passport. And on last page of New passport, it has Old Passport's Number written .. So, I am confused to whether send only New Passport's photocopy or / both - New and Old.

Does anyone know..?

I would send copies of old/new bio pages and the page with old number. Include a good cover letter listing the items. Marriage cert should link up all the names.

What name did you use in I-130! If it is with her maiden name (old name), then use her name (new name) as per the new passport in DS-230 and file bio-pages from both passports - also include an explanation letter). Visa is issued as per the name in DS-230 (DS-230 is the visa application). Please remember that the name on the Visa must match the name on the new Passport else you will have issues at POE.

Thanks, sounds great! I havent been able to send my packet in, stuff ran late with the Army, but by the end of this week it should FINALLY be in.

I didnt translate any of my documents, since they were in the official language of my country (beneficary), other than that we didnt file taxes but did put a note with explanation, and the contract employment letter of my husbands job with payrates and all that.. + we have a cosponsor that makes well over average to ..

all the forms are signed and filled in right, ... still im freaking out... its so close now ...

Do i have to worry about something u think?

Yes it is 7 - 9 business days. However I just saw two recent posts where approvals were made in 3 business days - not sure if it is a flash in the pan or going to be the new norm.

I called the NVC again tonight (like I said I would after last night's patronizing statement from the about next week). Still no case number but at least there were no patronizing statements again, just the standard in the building and 10-20 business days to enter into the system.

September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
