What if my PD was current before my case was completed by NVC?

I think I was affected by the F2A retrogression . My PD is FEB 08, but it looks like NVC has already processed those applications and now they are back processing 07's. What happens now? My case was completed last month.

thanks

will it become current again???? it was current a few months ago.

I'm sorry but that's not something i can answer with confidence but what I can say is KEEP YOUR eyes out on all the bulletins that will roll out over the nest 2 month.. it is likely to current then. When it does i would contact the NVC and speak with a supervisor so that they actively work on your case.

Of course your PD will be current again at some time in the future. The problem is that no one can tell you exactly when that will be.

ok, so I guess they will not schedule and interview until God knows when! I was hopping I would get an interview soon since my current PD was already processed.

thanks

The interview can only be scheduled after your PD becomes current. Without your PD being current, the US Embassy/Consulate cannot issue you a visa. Why schedule an interview before your PD becomes current when they cannot issue a visa? There is no good reason to have an interview if you cannot get a visa.

here is the email response I got:

Unfortunately, this case no longer has a visa number available. This is

because the applicant' visa category is oversubscribed, meaning that the

available numerical limit of visas able to be issued was reached. Upon

reaching the numerical limit of visas able to be issued, only

beneficiaries who have a priority date earlier than listed in the

current Visa Bulletin may be allotted a visa number in this visa

category.

The priority date is the date when the petition was filed at a

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) office or submitted to an Embassy

or Consulate abroad. In employment immigration the priority date may be

the date the labor certification application was received by the

Department of Labor (DOL). You may call (202) 663-1541 or visit our

website at www.ImmigrantVisas.State.Gov for priority dates currently

being processed.

But I honestly think the NVC operators don't know more than we do. A few years ago when my parent's green card was denied due to some documents lost by the NVC I wrote a letter to a senator complaining about how disorganized they were and a couple of weeks later I got an approval notice. I also got a letter from his office. Really thinking about doing the same thing again....

they might have looked a lil more and found the information. But as it relates to the F2A case.. no movement will happen.
