Thanks Samoray, very gentleman of you.

Any news for you yet?

Sam my friend... yes it is a HOT TOPIC today isnt it? How are you doing? Any news?

Yes as I told you when we first got word of the embassy reopening the Embassy must take care of their own backlog before new interviews will be in place.

The thing that has set me on fire is the way we have been misled for 3 weeks now with being told the NVC IS scheduling interviews, but there is only a limited number of slots available for the NVC to use due to the embassy's backlog.

Why lie all this time to people? Just say yes the embassy is open but no NEW interviews will be scheduled until the embassy clears the backlog... isnt that simple enough to say? I said it and it didnt hurt to say at all... LOOOOL

Hey thanks for the flower! I got to agree yet again with Wendy, you are forever the gentleman to a T!

LOL yeah it's the Hottest topic today, i know it is very frustrating, but you know for me dealing with NVC was the smoothest part of this process, not to say they are great but because we didn't call them very often  , but now the situation is different, tell you guys something funny, My wife called the DOS ( Department Of State ) and they told her that, My case in their system says waiting for an interview appointment   my wife was like :wacko: , so i don't trust what they say half the time, i have emailed the embassy two days ago and i haven't got any reply yet and their phones are always not reachable, but you know i am really not letting it get me so much cause i know sooner or later it's gonna end, Thank you very much for the compliments, you're the best friends, wish you the best in your journey's and interviews (F)

Find a job you love to do, and you will never work another day in your life.

absolutely ridiculous, you don't know my circumstances!!!!! you conclude all this from me just by seeing that I came through FB4, silly!!!!

So, were you separated from your spouse? I don't see why you came here through a FB4 if your spouse or fiancee were here, so yeah....I did conclude that through your status.

Well, you didn't answer my question, so I will just continue to use what knowledge I have (from your status) that you were not separated from your wife or fiancee. Call me ignorant, but you haven't corrected me.

wow ladies and gent. It is certianly a hot topic today. I would not take to kindly to being lied to either. But it is a goverment agency and most are not on the same page. I have emails saying the embassy has been re-opened for almost 3 weeks now. But it was only announced or made public like almost a week ago in Egypt. I had told my husband it was re-opened and he said ok, and left it and he informed me he heard it was re-opened about a week ago. lol I said duh..I told you that already.

I understand the frustration and this is a great place to vent. But I think we need to be respectful to others. We do not have to like what others have to say, and the best part is we do not have to respond to negativity.

The best part is that today you got to the bottom of this and you were finally told the truth, thank god. And you was able to pass it on the others waiting with you. I just hoping to send in my petition soon. I hope your day is getting better so that you will be all smiles for your husband...wish u luck.

Hey Everyone just wanted to say that my fam. and I were approved for IV on Jan. 13 through F4 category at Jamaican Embassy....its been a long road and am happy to be finished. We also benefited from CSPA as my siblings and I range from 23 to 26. I got so much help from this site, I finally decided to post something. Just wanted to say also that it is important to read and educate yourself as at the end of the day you are responsible for yourself. People were telling me I would never benefit from CSPA I was too old but I made sure I knew everything relevant and am living proof it works.... so be in the know!!!!!

and follow with this:

absolutely ridiculous, you don't know my circumstances!!!!! you conclude all this from me just by seeing that I came through FB4, silly!!!!

Conclusion: you and the truth are not acquainted.

Get over yourself. The OP is dealing with a situation where her SO's US consulate has been closed indefinitely. I'm quite sure that if you reached the end of your 11 year (boo hoo) wait, only to find out that your consulate was closed- then be lied to by the State Dept, you'd be upset too. Or perhaps not. After all, you and the truth are not acquainted.
