Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

Unfortunately, the principal applicant's assigned U.S. Embassy/Consulate General does not participate in the National Visa Center's Immigrant Visa Electronic Processing Program. Therefore, all forms and documents should continue to be mailed to the following address:

National Visa Center

Attn: CMR

This petition is not yet eligible for further processing. The petition will be retained at the NVC until a visa number is available. The petitioner, beneficiary, or attorney of record will be notified when further consideration can be given to processing this petition.

The petition's priority date determines when a visa number is available for the beneficiary. The priority date is the date when the petition was filed at a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) office or submitted to an Embassy or Consulate abroad. In employment immigration the priority date may be the date the labor certification application was received by the Department of Labor (DOL). You may call (202) 663-1541 or visit our website at www.ImmigrantVisas.State.Gov for priority dates being processed.

The NVC just told you that you can't. What is the country of your spouse? To the best of my knowledge, only the consulates in Guangzhou China and Montreal Canada have electronic processing available.

The Philippines isn't eligible for Electronic Processing.

The only eligible countries are found on the table at the bottom of this link: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_5165.html

sorry, the Embassy/Country where the interview will take place -

that IV unit does not participate in NVC Electronic Processing, so

trying to OPT IN will be a waste of time.

Also, NVC is telling you that you must wait - and I'm telling ya to wait until yer Priority Date becomes current (study the Monthly Visa Bulletin for more info )

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Some advices to you are really confusing. In my case I have petitioned my daughter who is in the Philippines thru electronic processing. I have accomplished it and I am awaiting for the interview. I think you can if you are in the US just like me.

Electronic processing is really fast. Once an advice for you to pay is issued do it immediately the AOS and processing fees. NVC will respond by email issuing you cover sheets for your documents which you should print. Complete the documents required and send them in 1 packet. Do not submit documents by installment. It's going to delay the processing. Good luck.

Um, you didn't do electronic processing. Philippines is not an eligible country. What you just described is what everyone does. Everyone can pay the fees online and print out the cover sheets from online. That's not what electronic processing is. Electronic processing means you're able to EMAIL the two packages instead of snail mail.

If you have direct experience of sending the whole packet thru email then I would not probably argue with you. To my mind most files at NVC are hard copies and would you think that they will print for you your documents which sometimes comes as thick as half inch because of the AOS attachments? Besides as for me xeroxing documents is simpler than scanning, would you agree with me?

sorry, ONLINE PAYMENT PORTAL USAGE is NOT NVC Electronic Processing, at all.

It may 'seem' electronic, to you, since you were able to use the WEB and PAY electronically, but that's a feature available to ANYONE with a casefile at NVC and fees to pay at NVC.

For 'go fast' instructions, using the payment portal, please review http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/221785-ds-3032-slowdown/page__view__findpost__p__3560467

Good - you shouldn't argue with Saylin about this - she's the goddess of NVC EP for Canada (I'm the SME for EP for China) .

Phils not have any EP program, as of this date/time stamp.

Other stuff to wade through?

Files at NVC are 'original documents' - and not 'hard copies'.

PAPER.

OTOH - anyone participating in NVC Electronic Processing has OPTED IN for this, and you've never mentioned your status or process of OPTING IN. I think you've confused the terminology and nomemclature, much.

But - none of that matters, right? yer casefile is moving along, you used the online payment portal, and things are getting done. YAY.

oh - but for 'original vs email' -

anyone participating in EP would know -

the ORIGINAL DOCUMENT that was scan'd and emailed in -

MUST BE SHOWN ON INTERVIEW DAY, to a document screener, at the IV Unit.

This is now a 2 day process at Guangzhou - Montreal still handles it all same day.

If you get bored, need some reading material - hey ! http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/251451-uscis-nvc/

Impossible for you to use, but - if you want some speed -

use the online payment portal - see http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/221785-ds-3032-slowdown/page__view__findpost__p__3560467
