Hello all

My husband and I have his interview appointment scheduled for May 10th and we are extremely nervous and excited.

The question is or are.....

Since I am petitioning him can I go with him or should I go with him to his interview appointment? Have any of you been to your appointment recently? Where can we stay at?

We live in L.A. And I don't know if we should travel to El Paso and then cross to Juarez or if it's better to go to Tijuana and get a flight to Juarez. This is so confusing and stressful.

Any info, tips, advice would be very helpful. :)

I went to the interview with now my husband to Juarez last year, and you will not be able to go inside the consulate with him. They will ask you to wait for him outside. If you have the desire to go and support, then I would advice to be very careful as you know how the situation in Juarez is.....I would also advise you to come to El Paso and also look for a hotel that will give you transportation to the consulate, that way do do not drive. Be very cautious in Juarez and do not put your guard down. I am sorry if I am scaring you, it is not my intention, it is just for you own safety. If you have any more questions, sent me a message and I will be more than happy to help you. GOOD LUCK!!

I had the same question about going into the consulate in juarez. I've been researching on the internet. There is a cheap hotel called the hotel consulado inn. Then there is a shuttle called amigo shuttle that's goes back and forth from el paso to the consulado in juarez. Also the hotel consulado inn has taxis that will bring you to the conuslate and medical appointments. That hotel is about 10-15 minute walk

My fiancee stayed at Quality Inn and you can literally walk to the consulate in like 5 minutes or less. The area is pretty safe too.
