If you want to call me self-righteous then sure. I don't mind. But I would prefer to read about topics that actually helps people. Not every third subject that is about how long it's now been. I guess I'm just different who doesn't love to read the exact same thing over and over and over. We all know this takes time but no one seems to accept it.

you know, its really easy, just skip the case filing and progress reports subform ALL TOGETHER,because mods move whiny posts here.if it bothers you that much why are you even reading them regardless where they pop,on the homepage or on the discussion page.if you cant handle others opinion,do us all a favor and stop making posts

I think that everyone is stressed and understandably so. It isn't easy. No one wants their lives to be totally out of their hands, and that's basically what this is. We take our wishes, our hopes and dreams, and write it all down on paper. Then we turn it over to USCIS and ask if we can have those hopes and dreams come true. Then we wait. And we wait and we wait until someone that we've never met tells us whether or not we can have the lives we have chosen. Yes, we did know what we were getting ourselves into, but that doesn't make it easy. I think even the creator of this thread is feeling the stress of waiting, even if he denies it. If not, why would the complaints of others be so annoying? Because it serves as a reminder of his own waiting time.

My petition is only a couple of months old but I still feel the stress of being away from the one I love. I can't go visit him because I can't take time off of work right now, and he can't come here. So I don't know when I'll get to see him again. When you love someone, when all you want is to see him smile and to see him happy, then even one day is too long to be apart.

Have some patience for the people who need to vent. Most of the people on here don't have anyone in their lives who have ever been through this before. So none of their family and friends REALLY understand how they feel. But we do. So they come here to be heard, and we're here to listen.

That is so true. When I got back home from my summer visit with her (also known as the happiest time of my life), I was asked the same question by almost everybody. "Why didn't you just bring her back with you?" Nobody really understand what this is like except the people on this board.

Oh god, i know that feeling and it sucks... "Why didn't you bring her back", "When is she coming?" are the most pain in the *** questions to hear during this process. Especially when it's the same people asking it over and over but don't understand the reply "I don't know, when I know I'll tell you".

Most of my family has talked to her on Skype and know her pretty well. Just for fun, I'm not telling anyone when she gets here. We'll just go to their house and I'll have her knock on the door. I just want to see their face when they open the door and she's standing there.

Yes, I completely understand that. "Why doesn't he just come here?" and "When is he coming back?" are some of the most stressful questions.

she was stating an opinion in the beginning, then she started crying and jumping up and down because " she didnt want to tell people what to do or how to feel". that is as far from mature as one could possibly get,you wanna go there as well?

The reason most people are upset, frustrated, angry or what not, is because they assume the US government and government agencies to be rational entities. They expect them to understand how hard it is for families to be separate. That is not the case. What you need to keep in mind is that almost all entities including all governments are the same, they only do what is in their own best interest. They have little or no interest in helping your family come here. Specially given the current economic conditions in America.

For those of you who have lived in third world countries, it should be easy to identify a third world country when you see one. US has been officially a third world country since at least a decade ago. The reason you don't see it, is because the government is artificially keeping US wages high. This is very similar to the situation in the Soviet Union right before its collapse. Eventually the high wages relative to other countries is going to end, not by a drop in the income levels, but through inflation, the increasing gap between the rich and poor and the rampant corruption that far exceeds that of most third world countries. None of this is even hidden news, it's public, you can research and find for yourself, just that it's buried under all the meaningless news surrounding Obama, the Debt Ceiling, ME countries, Donald Trump, Justin Beiber, Charlie Sheen and other endless nonsense.

I saw the title to this and just had to comment for the first time in ages.. Why post something like that? If you have nothing nice to say why bother? This site is here for support and to allow people to vent their frustrations on the process any way they see fit.. The site covers different personalities and cultures so of course some will cry and some will just get really angry.

Like Ive said before, and this is personal to me, If I hadnt been "crying like I baby" after 6 or even 2 months Id have seriously had to question my relationship.. The fact people get so p***ed after what you deem a very short time is testament to the strength of their relationship not a weakness in themselves..

In saying that I do genuinely hope you and everyone else get approved soon.. It was torture for Rach and I.. We sent off the I29f end of June/early July and I was only approved at the interview yesterday.. and YES I "cried like a baby" so sue me..

I COMPLETELY agree. She says that whining doesn't help. How does berating people help? Agh!
