The theory of 'spacial recognition' differences between the genders is no myth

You are fortunate the female mods like you. If Paul or slim posted this, the thread would be gone by now and you'd be on the receiving end of administrative action ;)

On the contrary , the study of differences looks at the differences which are really useful in showing advantages that female brains have in many situations and contrasts and compares them to male brains

Males are often accused of having 'tunnel vision' which originates from target acquisition when hunting. The female brain is wider ranging and sees peripheral situations.

Females are therefore better equipped for example in 'human resources' roles in that they appreciate may wider inputs than male brains

These different characteristics are very important in a management role and it is important to discuss and appreciate them

These differences were something that I was taught and had explained to me on high level management courses

Females score higher than men in many modern roles in business

Many females would be appalled to hear that they thought like a man. There is a difference between the genders and it isn't all physical. In no way does that imply that one gender is inferior - it simply states that they are different

My wife says that when I have the hood up on her car, the sight of all those mechanical things literally makes her feel sick.

She will not go to home depot for the same reason

I would also like to add that females are likely to be better at multitasking (try to address a man while he's reading a book or watching a movie and you'll see what I'm talking about  ).

Absolutely ! I used to be accused of having 'tunnel vision' and it's true.

Men are so focused on a single point that they see and hear nothing else

However, when I go for a walk in the park, I can spot the movement of a bird or an animal at 200 yards in thick cover and she struggles to see it, even though she has good eyesight. Men are attuned to the hunting thing which needs pinpoint precision and spacial awareness.

Hence it follows that parking a car or a plane is much harder for the 'average' woman.

Women should have no problem admitting that because then they have the right to list all the things they are better at than a man

However, it isn't fair or accurate for women to claim they can do XYZ better than a man but not admit that the male brain is better at other specific tasks.

This is all generalizing even though it is true in general. Realising that it doesn't apply universally explains those women who's brains are more like the average man, or those men who's brains are more like the average woman. It also explains why some women can fly fighter jets and some men like clothes shopping. I have known a few men who could not park and were into woman things. They were also hetero and therefore were a wow with the gals who had someone interested in chic flics etc but they could also play rude games with them and admit it to their friends so that was great

In fact, when I think back on the very successful male lovers I have known (of), most of them were into female interests. Rudolph Valentino was hardly macho

Map reading is a 'spacial' thing and every man needs to know that before he gets annoyed with his female navigator. Remembering detail is a woman thing and women need to appreciate that before becoming annoyed with man who was told the name of Julie's baby three weeks ago so why can't he remember !

Alan the Red, all true :star:

Especially about spotting birds and animals. 100% true about me and my fiance definitely. In the woods it's always like "Did you see that deer?" - "What deer? "

I thought there was something wrong with me, now I realise it's a women's thing.

My wife said she had a soft tire

I said "which side"

She said "front left"

Looked ok to me so I asked her to come out and she pointed to the front right

I said "that is the front right"

She said "not when you are standing in front of the car"

It is a totally different language !

In 1970 I was in the Police Force and I went to an accident where a woman had been driving up a hill and ran into the back of a car going up the hill

I asked her what happened and she said "He was driving too close in front"

I think that was my first realization that we don't all live in same reality and these johnnies are different. I had figured out the physical differences but I had no idea that totally different thought processes were happening

About a year later I discovered then when a woman gets fighting mad, she knows no fear and no pain. I took a real beating from a woman in the back of a police van.

I would have a 100% female army with perhaps a few male contractors to read the maps and do the spotting.

yes - I don't think wide enough...

Say front left to any woman and she immediately considers that it might be from behind the car or from in front of it and looks at both

Men are much to simple to think of that
