Need Help - Certified Birth Certificate

Hi guys i just got an email from NVC... stating

"The document you submitted is not an original or certified copy of an original issued by the

appropriate government authority. The document must be an original, or a certified copy of

the original, bearing the original seal or stamp from the issuing authority."

well when i sent my wife's birth certificate i sent them the CERTIFIED COPY of the original with all the offical govenment stamps

of the appropriate authority of India. i had it translated in English as the Birth certificate was not in english... everything was done right

and now i still get this stupid RFE...

let me make this clear i did not send them the Original birthcertificate though... do you think this might be the problem.

plus i got an RFE for a police clearence - i expected this as Indian police is dumb enough and they wont issue anything till they see a letter from the NVC.

eventough i printed out everthing from NVC website and my wife showed them the approval letter and the bar-coded sheets.

well any idea guys...

ur help is truely appreciated...

Digital , they want NOTARIED copy of your birth crtificate , i just read yesterday another posting who are asking for same thing and the answer was NOTARIED copy of your certificate.

Sometimes they not only want the English translated one but also the foreign birth certificate as well. So that they have both on file.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

what i did with mine is i sent out an original and i attached a certified copy of my birth cert with the original. i also sent out the original police clearance

I130 sent : July 27, 2010

NOA1 Received : August 16, 2010

NOA2 Received : March 11, 2011 (207 days from NOA1)

NVC Journey :

NVC received : March 18, 2011

DS3032 emailed : March 30, 2011

AOS fee received : March 30, 2011

Visa : April 1, 2011

Paid AOS and Visa via Mail : April 4,2011

I864 sent : (by the petitioner) April 13, 2011 (overnight)

DS230 sent : (by me) April 11, 2011 NVC received April 13,2011

AOS RFE :(co-sponsor proof of citizenship) : April 23,2011

RFE sent : April 25, 2011 (overnight)

DS230 RFE : April 26, 2011

RFE sent : April 28, 2011 (via FedEx) NVC received May 2, 2011

SIF : May 13, 2011 (US time) May 14 (here in the Philippines)

Case Close : May 16, 2011

Medical at St. Lukes : May 17, 2011 1st Day

May 19, 2011 Immunization and got the CD xray :)

Interview : July 12, 2011 (6:30 am) yiipppeeeee

i guess i made a mistake when i didnt send the original birth certificate with the certified translated copy...
