EAD Biometrics Appt. but no AOS?

Is it normal/ok to get separate appointment notices for biometrics for EAD and for AOS? Today we recieved the appointment notice for my wife's biometrics, but only for the EAD. It is scheduled for a time when we will be in Mexico visiting her family, so we are going to try to walk in before hand so we don't have to rescheduled, but since we don't have the AOS biometrics letter yet, I am not sure what that means. Thanks in advance for any insights.

Bring the NOA you have for both the EAD and the AOS and ask if you can do biometrics for both. When they take your fingerprints, they enter your case numbers in the computer manually so it shouldn't be a big deal for them to add on the EAD number too.

Good luck with the walk in!

They didn't for me (type the code in that is). That's why they scan the barcode.. all my details popped up on the screen and she asked me to double check them.

Hmmm she had to type mine in. I remember cause I was snooping haha.

It's worth a shot though. Worse answer you'll get is a no.

OP - ask to speak to a supervisor and explain the situation.
