Applied for I-129F visa back in October and should be getting NOA2 this week. I understand that the Hepatitis B vaccine is a series of 3 shots over several months. Does everyone need that vaccine? Do we have to wait additional months for him to be able to come to the states? :( I hope not. Someone please let me know what that's about. Thanks so much!

Contacted Congressmen again and got approval: 4-13-10

Contacted VSC (2nd tier) to confirm approval: 4-14-10

NOA2 Received: 4-15-10 (182 days from NOA1)

Arrived at NVC, new case # assigned: 4-19-11

Left NVC: 4-20-11

Arrives at BOG consulate: 4-27-11

Package 3 forms sent: 4-27-11

Interview: 6-16-11 APPROVED!!!!!

Picked up visa/passport at DOMESA: 6-22-11

Daniel comes to the USA: 7-5-11

OUR WEDDING DAY!!! 7-22-11

Mailed AOS documents: 8-29-11

AOS received in Chicago: 8-30-11

NOA1 received: 9-2-11

I797c appointment notice received: 9-12-11

Depends on her age, my now wife who came over on a K-1 visa, had a total of 2 shots to enter the country. Before your Aos you will have to update her shots according to her age. Your private insurance should cover immunizations but will not cover the fees for the I-693. Make sure you find a Civil Surgeon that goes by the book and doesn't take you for a bunch of unneeded test, she will only need her immunizations records transfered. Good luck!

You get all the shots you need when you visit the doctor in Bogota. For instance, we couldn't find my step-daughter's vaccination records, so the doctor gave her what she needed, i.e. 4 shots. They'll give all the shots in one day, as they understand the time constraints. Good luck...and I'm sure everything will be fine for you.

And in Colombia...there are only two doctors you can visit. I'd go to the man if possible...as I've heard he's better than the woman. We went to the male doctor.
