Another qs on evidence...

Hi all,

Ive posted here before stating im divorced. My GC doesnt expire antill Dec 2011 but going by the advice on here im applying for ROC now.

I have a lot of substantial evidence (see topic 'Here we go..') but im a little wary of me sending documentation with salary. Dont get me wrong, my ex-husband and I lead a comfortable life (he is an engineer) but i want to show a pay stub from my employment to show that im fully sufficient and independent right now. I make an avergae salary (I work in a school as a para full time-but could get hired as a teacher in august)and the money i bring in is fine but i am fully aware that its hourly and not a huge huge salary. Can this affect me if they dont see fit that its enough? what is the poverty line (im pretty sure im not on it.) Im just scrutinizing every possibility as when I send this in I want to be worry free and know everything i send in is ok.

I have marked out amounts on our joint bank statements that im sending in...do you think this will be a problem?should I just leave them so they can see? I did it out of privacy but dont know if i have this right with the USCIS

Thanks in advance :)

Typically removing conditions does not involve evidence of support, your ex is still responsible for that, the I-864 he provided for your green-card is still in effect.

What you need to provide evidence is that you had entered the marriage in good faith for the waiver of joint filing requirement of the I-751..

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

I understand this..just thought it wouldnt hurt to include as Misc' stuff. :)

However, on joint bank accounts, ive sharpied out account balances and what andrew and myself earnt when payroll from our employment went in. Is this ok to do? I just wanted some privacy...

I personally wouldn't. It just looks suspicious. You need to realise they could probably get all that info anyway. They're part of the government and you file taxes (hopefully). The only time I blacked anything out was on chat conversations for obvious reasons. When you're asking to immigrate there is basically no privacy. Some people (thankfully not me) had to strip down for their medical so they have quite seriously been completely exposed in order to prove themselves to immigration.

i blacked balance information and account numbers and my husband had his roc completed without difficulty last month, no rfe, no interview so go ahead. we had plenty of other information. i only used the bank account info because it showed "hi-traffic" as all of our household bills are paid out of it and some portion of each of our payroll goes into it. we use 3 accounts his/hers/ours.

so go ahead sharpie the balances as you wish. if they want to go retrieve your financial information in detail they will ask although at roc stage i have not read of anyone who has received rfe or was interviewed about that.

good luck!
