I totally understand why people think a 26 year old male can not be in love with a 55 year old female, but every case is different. Does the USCIS consider all these cases as high fraud? Has anyone on VJ been approved with this big of age difference with the female being older?

Thank you for your reply.

USCIS only cares about having the proper forms and documents and the correct fee.

The local Embassy DOES consider if the relationship is real and not for visa fraud. You will have to check with folks who have gone through your Embassy for answers to this type of question.

Also this is the K-1 forum and you have K-3 in your profile information. Which are you?

Not necessarily, a lot of women who fall in love with men much older than they are have seem to successfully proved their relationship a bona fide one, I don't see why not in your case. It's a matter of how invested and in love you are with the person, I can't see how different it would be with reversed roles.

I'd like to hope that the USCIS cares about whether or not it's fraud, and not only about proper forms, documents and fees...

Good luck :)

You can fall in love with a 75 years old, USCIS doesn't have a problem with that. the concern is going to be raised at your local US Consulate. Is it normal in your culture for a 26 yrs old male to marry a 55 years old woman, will your parents be ok with that, sometimes the CO looks into these details.

It depends a lot on the local culture. Many cultures it is considered more or less mandatory that a man have an heir, especially if he is the eldest male. That is were the cougar relationship has it's issues. At 55 you are unlikely to produce the child that may be "required" by local customs and they will see this as a red flag to the validity of the relationship. Yes every relationship is different but the divorce rates for parent / child marriages is far above that of age mates even without different cultures coming into play. If you have other red flags you should go to the interview fully prepared to deal with these.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Hi Terry,

It is no matter how years old are couple, love has no age  So, just prepare documents and good proof of relationship that all, of course CO will be fox and try trick with questions make little confuse  but if you have no anything hide and answer all true and honest, then Everything is Alright

So be calm guys, most important you really love each other and they will see it.

P.S. me and my Fiancé have 12 years difference, so we approved

Anything can be a red flag, it depends on the couple, the situation, the country and the officer. It depends on how the embassy in Turkey sees it really (the norm in Turkey). Love knows no age and as people here said, a lot of the women are older than their husbands and they all got approved. Don't worry :)

Hi,it shouldn't be a problem for elder woman to marry or get a k1 visa. Since they allow younger woman to be with older man atleast double of their age or more??? so why not for elder woman and younger man... dont worry just go ahead let them decide,,

actually in high fraud countries like middle eastern ones ( turkey not included since its a part of eurasia ) they can and do deny men who are younger than their partners ( specially huge age gaps) based on that ground if they dont have enough evidence.its not usual in middle east and naturally most men are attracted to younger women, its even safe to say MAJORITY of men are attracted to younger women.

It's as you said, every case is different and the USCIS pretty much just want to make sure you have your fees paid and that you're not going to be a danger to anyone. My only suggestion would be proof, proof, and more proof. If you can show that you have contact with him everyday by email, phone, skype, whatever, and that you have a relationship with eachother's families. If you went to visit him and have a picture maybe of you and his mother talking or sharing a meal I think this would help. No man brings a woman home to his mother unless he is serious about her. As it has been said love knows no age, but for embassies that don't necisarily agree, just make sure you have lots of proof. If you can show that every day he sent you an email or you spoke online and he said "I love you" and you said it back. I think this will be enough. He needs to be prepared, I believe, to tell the consulate WHY he is attracted to you / in love with you. Shouldn't be hard. :) Good luck! - Rich
